The Jedi Council

Postby Scott » Tue Jun 08, 2010 4:00 pm

I had this idea for a new rank (Jedi Council Member) in which you would be granted a green name and a green lightsaber (as well as a new rank name). This would only be obtained by a very high number of posts (to be determined) but would allow you to access a private forum called the Jedi Council. It would allow you to post anything, but would mainly be there to allow the most dedicated user to voice their opinion and know that it will be heard. I'm not sure if this is a cool as I think it is, so I'll let you decide by voting in the poll. Let me know what you think or any cool ideas you may have.

I like the idea, I was once part of a forum where they had a similar thing. To get there you had to have 500 posts (a little extreme for this forum perhaps) and it basically served as a place where the members who had been there for a long time and therefore more likely ro rack up more posts could go and just post about what ever they wanted out of the general forum eye.

I like the idea as well. Also use some type of rank to use the black lightsaber like in TFU.
"Geth do not intentionally infiltrate."
Harbinger- "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."

Thanks for all the feedback. The lightsaber colour can change so that is not problem. If anyone has anything they think should be added or changed please let me know through this topic.

Got a cool idea to upgrade in rank than posting!

Why not make a jedi trials page here in which you play arcade games and such and the higher your scores are the higher you will rank. Good idea huh?

Good idea but hard to implement and would blur the reason for this site. We'd have to code games that would coincide with the ranking system and it would confuse people to exactly what the site is about. Maybe something like new ranks, groups, competitions, etc and more related to the site that's already here.

Your idea sound cool. But do add something like games for fun, not ranking ya know.

Games seem a bit out of focus and hard to do. I don't think there every will be games on this site because that's not it's purpose.

I just like the idea. That kind of rank shouldn't be based on the number of posts. It should be given to people who, like the staff, know, respect, and follow the rules. Someone the staff can trust. Kind of like a 'Guard of BF3.net' they should probably be given full user access.

That could certainly work and makes more sense. You don't like the name though? Also, what do you mean by full user access?

Just an idea that i know works, What you could maybe do is make something where if someone makes a good post, other people who think it is good click on a button on the persons profile and it adds rep. so instead of makinig an impossible target of posts, you can make it so rather than quantity, it is quality.

Hope i made it understandable!

I would have to get on my website to tell you, but my computer is being mean to me, so all I can tell you is full user access is a permission set that gets more permissions than the standard access, which is what all the regular members have right now. Again, it's like a royal guard, because they get special permissions. But I like the Jedi Council name.

Also, another idea. Like the real Jedi Council in the canon series, it should have 12 members once decided who those twelve members are.
