An actual change in the Blu-Ray edition of Star Wars.
What in the hell was he thinking?!

Re: Thanks, George...
It might just be a clip from the special features with alternative sound just like a deleted scene.

People who alter or destroy works of art and our cultural heritage for profit or as an exercise of power are barbarians, and if the laws of the United States continue to condone this behavior, history will surely classify us as a barbaric society.
In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.
Attention should be paid to this question of our soul, and not simply to accounting procedures. Attention should be paid to the interest of those who are yet unborn, who should be able to see this generation as it saw itself, and the past generation as it saw itself.
-George Lucas.

It's a very epic and hypocritical speech alright. I wonder if he has power over the current changes.

The problem is that he has a loop hole. In that same speech, he went on about Artists having the rights to their movies. And since he owns Star Wars, he can do whatever he pleases. But he's still a hypocrite.

Re: Thanks, George...
He does. The reason the entire prequel trilogy was a mess was because he had total power over them. It's pretty much the same deal here; nobody knows how to tell him 'NO' anymore.

-_- Now that South Park Episode makes total sense! I will still be hoping for the Original Trilogy Blu-Ray Collection, as its cheaper and I prefer it anyway
Please don't be a total mess!

Honestly, that's even MORE heavy-handed than the blu-ray change.
Who honestly did not understand that scene upon first watching it? Are people really this clueless? To the point where the film has to tell us 'THIS IS WHAT HE'S FEELING/THINKING NOW' for us to get it?

Re: Thanks, George...
turns out that "change" video at the beginning of this post isn't really in the BlueRay. THANK THE MAKER!

I don't trust reviews for anything, but this was too damn brilliant. Going by Amazon's customer feedback:
SW Blu-Ray collection:
5 Stars: 306
4 Stars: 63
3 Stars: 40
2 Stars: 47
1 Star: 935
Why do I think that if George Lucas sees that, he'll probably think "There must not be enough CGI yet."
