I have a program called GsList that allows me to see the servers for every game run by GameSpy so I can basically see the lobbies for them. Like I used it to see what servers were online and how many players were in them for SWBF2.
I decided to check it out today and to my surprise I find this:

When I click on them no servers show up, but those lobbies were not there a month ago.
This looks increadibly promising.

Oh BTW the reason there is no Xbox stuff on there is because Microsoft doesn’t allow GameSpy to host lobbies for games over Live. They do it themselves.

This is definitely interesting… i’ll be interested to hear all of your opinions. I know that the software program isn’t put out by GameSpy, so who know’s it could most certainly be fake.

Anyway, one of our commenters has posted an interesting link to some E3 lists which show some of the games that will be appearing at this years E3. Natually, this is not confirmed, nor can I provide any authenticity to these lists, so if I were you, I wouldn’t believe in these too much.

Neogaf, always a good place for video game rumours. Take a look at these lists, for example, that were posted last night; according to the person who uploaded them, they are lists over all the games that are going to be shown at E3 this year. How about Mass Effect for Playstation 3, a reveal of Elder Scrolls V and Killer Instinct 3?

Or Final Fantasy VII HD. Who doesn’t want to play Final Fantasy VII HD? Or Ninja Gaiden: Chronicles? I think we better take this with a grain (or huge mountain) of salt considering the source. But rumours are always fun, no?

LucasArts has confirmed reports that president Darrell Rodriguez has resigned from the company today. A reason for his departure was not provided, however.

LucasArts recently announced the release date for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, the company’s most anticipated title of the year. The game will ship on October 26.

Anyway, on the news. According to Connected Consoles, Battlefront Online may be still in development with Slant Six Games, despite the rumors that the game has been scrapped.

There have been whispers over the past few months revolving around a possible Star Wars Battlefront Online title from SOCOM: Confrontation developer Slant Six, along with the help of LucasArts. On the other hand, we’ve since seen reports that the game may have been canned due to staff layoffs.

Of course, this isn’t solid proof that the game is in-fact Battlefront Online, so take it lightly. However, it is a AAA title, so we’re happy.

Bad news, Battlefront fans: sources tell us a new entry in the series, in development at SOCOM: Confrontation developers Slant Six, has been canned, and a number of staff at the studio laid off as a result.

So, the game comes and goes without us even getting an official look at it. A pity, but then since so many of you were cautious at the choice of developer for the game, it may not be such a bad thing after all.

On January 28th, Kotaku.com reported that Battlefront: Online was in pre-production by Slant Six Games and Lucasarts.

“The game, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, is currently being worked on by both Lucasarts and Slant Six Games, the studio responsible for SOCOM Confrontation and SOCOM Fire Team Bravo 3.”

Our friend Wenis has dug up a profile of a former Slant Six Games employee (left about 3 months ago) with some interesting Star Wars renderings among his profile.

“I found the LinkedIN page of a former Slant 6 employee (it says he left about 3 months ago). Interestingly in his work experience, he said he worked on Socom Confrontation as well as a ‘new engine for unannounced title’. That unannounced title could be Socom Fire Team Bravo 3 for PSP which just came out, but it also could be POSSIBLY SWBFOnline.

In no way are these images confirmed with any kind of Star Wars game, but it does give us some hope in the future! I know lately everyone has been saying they’ve lost all hope in that Battlefront 3 is being developed, but I still believe we’ll get it…. eventually!

It’ll definitely be interesting to see everyone’s reaction this as I am not a fan at all of the Monkey Island series, but of course, that all comes down to personal preference, I’m sure that a lot of people out there love them.

So as our hopes die off once again with the GDC conference, can someone fill me in on what’s next? What big event can we hope they will announce Battlefront 3?

Well the GDC 2010 (Game Developers Conference) is coming up and Lucasarts is listed as having a Exhibitors booth! Of course this doesn’t mean anything but people are speculating that they may be announcing this secret, “Battlefront: Online”.

The GDC’s start next Tuesday (March 9th, 2010) and run to Saturday (March 13th, 2010) and are being held in San Francisco.

On a side note, Lucas Arts has announced that they will be releasing Lego Star Wars 3. Personally, I like the Lego Star Wars games as they are pretty fun, but obviously, I would much rather them release Battlefront 3.
